On March 24, Russia has placed hundreds of people in a quarantine of whom a coronavirus infection is suspected. The government of Russia imposed as one of the first countries' travel bans to Chinese citizens at the end of January 2020 and had set up different quarantine zones.
As a result of this, scientists think the total number of cases of corona in Russia is lower than tiny nations like Luxembourg. However, Russia is a big country and Putin told reporters that probably not all numbers are correct.
Russia on March 27, asked all its citizens to self-quarantine in order to curb the spreading of the coronavirus. The measure has been put in place for the entire country for the upcoming week. All non-essential travel has been prohibited.
A day later, on March 28, the government of Russia announced they will close all their borders in order to curb the Covid-19 coronavirus.
