As of March 19 and although neighboring countries have imposed new measures in order to prevent the further spreading of the coronavirus, Nicaraguan authorities decided not to act.

Traveling to the country is still possible without any regulations. Airlines are allowed to land and cruise ships can enter via its ports.

Tens of thousands of people in Nicaragua started a voluntary quarantine period on March 28.
