18 March: Nepal decided to stop the on-arrival tourist visa for all countries. Foreigners who would like to enter Nepal needs to apply for a visa with proof of a health certificate, indicating specifically a negative test for the coronavirus. This measure will be imposed until 30 April.

All mountain climbing, including expeditions to Mount Everest are being canceled. Borders with neighboring countries like India and China are being closed until further notice.
