24 March: The government of Madagascar has installed the army to enforce the quarantine measures. Some parts of the country have difficulties getting food and needed medicines.

21 March: Madagascar announced that all commercial passenger flights with Europe will be suspended for the next 30 days. Everyone that has been or transited in coronavirus affected countries have to go into a mandatory 14-day self-quarantine.
