On March 18, the country has put people from several corona-affected countries in quarantine but says it's still a safe destination for tourists to visit. However, a week later, they came back on this notice saying more restrictions are needed to prevent the further spreading of the coronavirus.
The Cuban government will not permit any new tourists from entering the country as of Tuesday, March 24. All non-citizens currently on the island are being asked to leave before the same date. Earlier, the Cuban government canceled all major concerts and events in the country.
On March 31, the government said they will ban all incoming international passenger flights. All foreign boats are asked to leave the island's water.
