The coronavirus was started in the Hubei province in Central Eastern China. The country imposed after a couple of days of heavy measures to stop the further spreading of the virus. Despite these efforts, the virus quickly spread to other nations in the world and within two months almost every country in the world was affected by the coronavirus.
Partly because of these heave quarantine measures for people from the Hubei province and specifically the city Wuhan, they were also the first country to lift some of these restrictions after fewer cases were reported. As of midnight Tuesday the 24th of March, the 50 million residents of Hubei are allowed to leave the province again if they are found healthy.
The restrictions imposed in Wuhan will be lifted from April 8. Meanwhile, also daily life in capital Beijing seems to be turning into a normal state, with many people taking the subway again and using the highways to travel to their jobs.
To prevent a second outbreak of the coronavirus, China on Thursday, March 26, announced a new travel ban for every foreigner wanting to come into the country as of this Saturday. It is not known until when this measure will stay in place.
In addition, all international airlines are only allowed to fly only one time into China per week. This measure will start on Sunday and will be put in place until further notice. All planes are only allowed to fill 75 percent of their capacity with passengers.
