The government of Bangladesh announced on March 8 they will ban all travelers coming from the worst-hit countries, like China, South Korea, and the European Union.
People coming from other countries have to go through a thermal screener at their port of entry. The government had suspended almost all international flights, except for those going to London and Bangkok.
After seen more cases in the country, Bangladesh decided to impose the first step into a complete lockdown. Technically this means the closure of all schools, non-essential shops and all forms of transportation. These measures will stay in place until April 9.
Bangladesh deployed the military on March 27 to enforce the imposed shutdown.
