18 March: Despite having some corona cases, the country is still open for travel. All restaurants and tourist attractions remain open.
The Bahamas was one of the latest nations to step up its measures in the battle against the spread of the coronavirus. Even on March 18 with cases of coronavirus reported, the country remained open for travelers and restaurants and attractions were still open.
On March 24, President Hubert Minnis announced several measures to stop the spreading of the coronavirus. All airports, ports, and beaches will be closed and everyone has to social-distance from other people. It is no longer allowed to go outside without a valid reason.
These measures will stay in place until March 31.
