The first case of corona in Albania was reported on March 8.
Albania took more measures to fight the coronavirus, for example closing down schools and fines if traders charge unacceptable prices for food and medicines.
Television stations in Albania are not allowed to have more than two people at the same time in a talk show.
People are told to stay inside as much as they can. Travelers from risk-areas are asked to self-quarantine. The Muslim Community of Albania announced that all mosques will be closed as per March 11.
The Albanian Minister of Health told the nation on Wednesday, April 1, that these measures will stay in place until further notice, which could mean the country will be isolated for what could be at least a few more months.
Albanian authorities already closed all borders to foreigners and a 16-hour weekday curfew at home. At the weekend, people should stay inside for 40 hours. People that have retired must stay at home.
